Waters Gallery Artists Reception and Harp Concert

Waters Gallery will hold an artists reception and harp performance open to the public on Saturday, October 17, from 5 – 8 pm, featuring the irresistible, fantasy-filled illustrations of Waters, as well as the photography and distinctive graphic art of Erskine. Wine and hors d’oeuvres will be served.

A free performance starting at 5 pm will be given by concert harpist, composer and teacher Tammy Naze of Algoma with her inspiring blend of celtic and classical styles.

Waters’s paintings and illustrations draw freely from Indian spiritual imagery, Persian miniature painting, Medieval and Renaissance illumination, Celtic folklore and Victorian book design. Employing her own unique combination of Western alchemical symbols and intricate borders, Waters introduces viewers to a rich and intriguing fantasy world.

The works of Tim Erskine in photography and graphic design bring technology and science to the forefront of artistic imaging. As a mechanical engineer himself, and the son of a nuclear physicist and an artist, Erskine draws inspiration from his knowledge of science and his enduring love of the arts. Erskine brings the natural and divine into graceful and chic pieces that draw your eye and hold your gaze. A collection of Erskine’s photographs and panoramas featuring the spectacular colors of fall in Door County will be on display.
