The third annual wearable art show will fill the Sister Bay Village Hall with contemporary, artist-made apparel, accessories and jewelry. Hosted by Sue Donohoo of Soo Hoo Artwear, the show will offer a wide range of styles and visitors can meet the artists and see their original designs.
Artists and their wares include: fiber artist Rosemarie Mellenberger and her fall line of sweaters and hats; Marcy Farber will exhibit her needle felted and folk art apparel and jewelry; hand-painted coats, jackets and tops, expertly tailored by Pat Rued; Mary Mendla will show Affluere, her dance fitness apparel line, and Facets Fashions, basics and seasonal clothing; Barb Geurink with hand-woven scarves and shawls; Laura Kochevar’s felted scarves and accessories; handbags and other leather accessories by Ilze Heider; jeweler Polly Daeger will show silver and copper pieces; Egg Harbor jeweler Angela Lensch will show precious metal wire pieces with gemstones and pearls; and Donohoo will show her eco-conscious clothing designs.
The Barn Quilts of Door County will also participate in the two-day event as a fundraiser for future projects. All proceeds from the sale of their work will benefit the 4-H project.
