Wearable Art Show at Sister Bay Village Hall

Contemporary, artist-made apparel, accessories and jewelry will fill the Sister Bay Village Hall Oct. 5 and 6 with a boutique-style show and sale. Organized by Sue Donohoo of Soo Hoo Artwear, the two-day event will offer a wide range of styles, sizes and prices.

Nationally recognized Door County artists Skye and Peter Ciesla of Bazyli Studios will feature their sculptural neck pieces and jewelry. Marcy Farber, owner of Cousin’s Walk Gallery in Ellison Bay, will exhibit her needle felted and folk art clothing and jewelry. Jeweler Marilyn Lamar will show silver and copper jewelry set with semi-precious stones.

Other artists and their wares include: Pat Rued with expertly tailored jackets and tops; Laura Kochevar’s felted scarves and accessories; Angela Lensch’s precious metal wire pieces with gemstones and pearls; handbags and leather accessories by Ilze Heider; scarves, shawls and home accessories from Barb Geurink; and Donohoo will show her eco-conscious clothing designs.

The Door County Wearable Art Show is open 9 am – 5 pm Oct. 5 and 10 am – 4 pm Oct. 6 at the Sister Bay Village Hall. Admission is free. For more information call 920.421.0449 or visit doorcountywearableartshow.com.
