The Door County Wearable Art Show returns Aug. 28-29 at a new venue, the Baileys Harbor Town Hall. The public is invited to shop regional designer-made clothing, accessories and jewelry, and meet the artists in person.
Some of the participating artists include Ilze Heider of Grafton, with elegantly crafted leather bags; Pat Rued of Deerfield, Illinois, with hand painted and printed fibers in arrays of color and patterns for her tailored jackets, tops and scarves; Ann Gainey of Wind Lake, specializing in jackets and tops in wool, silk and cotton; Deb Rades, bringing chainmail and beaded bags and pouches; Lana Vosk of Milwaukee, who offers knit shawls, sweaters, dresses and skirts; Amy Taylor of Glenview, Illinois, whose unique silver and gold pieces are constructed with an emphasis on movement, mechanism and unique hinge work; and Erika Mock of Hawthorne will have her upcycled eco-wearables which are inspired by nature and her surroundings.
The Wearable Art Show is open Aug. 28, 9 am – 5 pm, and Aug. 29, 9 am – 4 pm. Admission is free. For more information, visit doorcountywearableartshow.com.
