Well Testing Results Explained at Public Education Forum

Healthy Water Door County continued its second round of free well-testing for Door County residents this summer. This program is part of a long-term initiative to promote high quality drinking water while providing a convenient way for Door County residents to monitor their well water. The well water tests included bacteria, nitrate, arsenic, lead and iron tests. The community is now invited to learn about the results of these tests on Sept. 15 at 7 pm at Crossroads at Big Creek, 2041 Michigan St, Sturgeon Bay.

The discussion will be led by Kimberly Busse, laboratory manager of the Environmental Research and Innovation Center at UW-Oshkosh, and will include a 40-minute presentation on water quality contaminants with information regarding the Door County study. Also available at the forum will be a resource guide. For more information visit healthywaterdoorcounty.org.
