• Sturgeon Bay’s proposed Aesthetic Design and Site Plan Review Code made it through its first reading at the Sept. 4 meeting of the Sturgeon Bay Common Council without any amendments or objections. The code will be up for a second reading and possible adoption at the council’s Sept. 18 meeting.
A copy of the code is on file at the City’s Community Development Department for those who wish to view it.
• The Jacksonport Town Board attended a grant-writing workshop in Green Bay on Sept. 6. The workshop was hosted by the Wisconsin Coastal Management Program.
• The International Joint Commission extended its comment period for the International Upper Great Lakes Study through Sunday, Sept. 30. The study can be read at http://www.ijc.org/iuglsreport/.
