From live animals to a world premiere, Door County communities have plenty for you to do this coming weekend. Here are our top picks:

Friday

“My Life Is A Zoo”: Meet Bud & Carrie DeYoung and their array of zoo animals at Southern Door Community Auditorium for a fun, educational outreach program. 7pm. $7/ticket.

Listening Session: Rep. Kitchens and Rep. Schraa will host two listening sessions (one each in Algoma and Sturgeon Bay) to solicit feedback on the governor’s budget from their constituents.

“The Emissary” World Premiere: Watch the world premiere of this Door County-based film at Door Community Auditorium on Friday night at 7pm.

Peter Mulvey for Music Heals: A phenomenal performer with huge energy, a quick-fire, quirky take on life, and an extraordinary guitar style.

Saturday

Children’s Carnival: Two bouncy houses, tons of carnival games with prizes, face painting, tattoos, a petting zoo, food, kids bucket raffle, and more. Zion Lutheran School and Early Childhood Center. 10am – 1pm.

Dave Pagel Memorial Ice Fishing Derby: Raffles, kids events and live music. All proceeds used for fish stocking, habitat improvement projects and the kids fishing program. Wave Pointe Resort & Marina. 7am – 2pm.

Frozen Tundra Wine Fest: Outdoor wine fest at Parallel 44 Winery to celebrate our Wisconsin grapes that can survive our harsh winters, yet produce award winning wines. Admission $12 includes: Frozen Tundra wine glass, 5 wine samples, ice bar, tours, food samples, live music, horse carriage rides, food available for purchase and more. 12-6pm.

Sunday

ZoupArt: A soup tasting and art show fundraising event to benefit Bruemmer Park Zoo. $10 admission includes a handpainted bowl. 11am – 4pm.

The Clearing Winter Program Student Exhibit: Featuring students’ original works and class displays from their participation in this year’s 92 classes. 10a – 4pm.
