What to Do In Door County This Weekend: Jan. 15 – 17

We’re all workin’ for the weekend. Whether you live in Door County or are planning to visit later this week, be sure to mark these great events on your calendar:

1. Hans Christian kicks off Coffeehouse Concert Series: Door Community Auditorium will welcome the nationally touring cellist and multi-instrumentalist to its stage at 7 pm on Saturday, Jan. 17.

2. Family Art Day: Peninsula School of Art will host its free family art event from 9am until noon on Saturday, Jan. 17. Families with children ages 3.5 to 17 are invited to enjoy paints, pastels, clay and more.

3. The Threat of ISIS: Door Community Auditorium will offer its first lecture of the season at 9 am on Saturday, Jan. 17 with, “The ISIS Threat: The Complex War Raging in Iraq and Syria,” featuring presenter Dr. Ozum Yesiltas.

4. Opening Reception at Miller Art Museum: The Miller Art Museum will celebrate its 40th birthday with a special themed exhibit, “Celebrating 40 with Festive Art About Food.” The exhibit’s opening reception will take place from 3-4:30pm on Saturday, Jan. 17.

5. Packers in NFC Title Game, 2 pm: The Green Bay Packers will take on the Seattle Seahawks. Find a TV, and find something to calm your nerves! Go Pack Go!
