What to do in Door County this Weekend: Jan. 30 – Feb. 1

You already know you’ve got Super Bowl Sunday booked, but what will you spend the rest of your weekend doing? Don’t think too hard – we’ve got this:

1. “Mardi Gras” Party at Turtle Ridge: Put on a mask and pretend to be someone or somewhere else at the Sixth Annual Frostbite Party and Sale at Turtle Ridge. The event takes place Friday from 4-8pm.

2. 2 Drummers vs. 2 DJs vs. 5 MCs: The Brick Lot Pub in Sturgeon Bay will handle this one-of-a-kind show in which drummers face off against DJs and MCs. The madness kicks off at 9:30 pm on Friday.

3. “Hopeful Realism—A Vision for Human Rights After 2014”: DCA’s Distinguished Lecture Series will kick off its third weekend installment with this lecture by St. Norbert College Senior Director of Engagement Dr. Robert Pyne. Pyne will discuss the many human rights challenges the world faced in 2014. The event begins at 9 am on Saturday.

4. Meet “Pete the Cat”: Enjoy games, crafts and, of course, meeting a larger-than-life “Pete the Cat” at Sturgeon Bay Library from 12:30-2pm on Saturday.

5. Matt Wahl at DCA: Matt Wahl will bring his fun-loving, sunny-day acoustic music to the Fireside Lobby at DCA at 7pm on Saturday. Tickets to the concert are $15, general admission.

6. Super Bowl XLIX: The New England Patriots take on the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, Feb. 1 at 5:30pm CST on NBC.
