Looking for a way to enjoy the warm temps of July (or a way to escape the hotness by basking in the cool indoors)? We’ve got a variety of activities, both indoors and out, for you to consider for the upcoming weekend in Door County.

Friday, July 17

Dragonfly Workshop at The Ridges: Spend the morning outdoors with Paul Burton, capturing and identifying a variety of dragonfly species. 9 am.

Opening Reception at The Hardy: Featuring the “Collection Invitational” and unveiling of the 2015 Community Mosaic Project. 5:30 – 7 pm.

Book Signing with Ted Prokash at Jaycee Hall: Ted Prokash will be reading from his new novel, “The Brothers Connolly.” Acoustic performances by Dennis Klapperich and Ted Prokash. 7 pm.

Kewaunee County Fair: Grandstand events, children/family entertainment, carnival rides, and more.

Saturday, July 18

20th Anniversary Celebration at Door County Adventure Center: The celebration will include discounted zip line tours, a free ride on the flying squirrel, face painting, music, food and more. 10 am – 4 pm.

Meet the Cheesemaker at Door County Brewing Co.: Chris and Kristine Roelli from Roelli Cheese Haus in Shullsburg, WI will be discussing their award winning cheese with samples and beer pairings. 12 pm.

Antiques Appraisal at Corner of the Past & Old Anderson House Museum: Featuring author and antiques expert Mark F. Moran. Appraisal items must be registered in advance. All proceeds benefit the Sister Bay Historical Society. 1 pm.

The Nicks at The Garage at Husby’s: A guitar and mandolin duo performing an eclectic mix of music with drummer Rob Gay. 7:30 pm.

Sunday, July 19

Family Writing Activity Day at Crossroads at Big Creek: A free family day activity for all ages. Explore your dreams and ambitions with this month’s theme, “What’s On Your Bucket List?” 8 am.

Late Night Catechism” at Peg Egan Performing Arts Center: An interactive comedy, one of the longest running shows in Chicago and U.S. theater history. Lawn chairs and carry in’s allowed. 7 pm.

Chris Irwin & Friends at Camp David: Folk, bluegrass and blues. 7 pm.
