Friday, July 31

Eddie Smith & Tommy Burroughs at Baileys Harbor Town Hall Lawn: Acoustic driven melodies. Bring a picnic, a bottle of wine, or just your lawn chairs. 5 pm.

“Steel Magnolias” at Third Avenue Playhouse: In the haven of Truvy’s beauty salon, six very different women come together to share their secrets and bare their souls, throwing in a little neighborhood gossip for good measure. 7:30 pm.

Bat Surveying at Newport State Park: Join the park naturalists as they do a bat survey with an ANABAT device. 8 pm.

Terry Murphy with Last Man Standing at Juniper’s Gin Joint: A mix of originals, classic folk, bluegrass, blues, country and vintage rock. 9:30 pm.

Saturday, August 1

Men’s Club Scholarship Breakfast in Ephraim: The annual pancake breakfast raises money for students in Gibraltar High School’s graduating class. Pancakes, sausage, juice, and coffee are on the menu. 7:30 – 11 am.

Cherry Fest in Jacksonport: Historical display, car show, fine arts & crafts, food, music, family fun and more. All day.

Red Putter Pro Tournament: Players must qualify with a round under par. 3 rounds of golf are played followed by lunch.

Coyote Ghost Band at Sonny’s Piazza: Folk, Latin jazz. 1 pm.

Artist Demonstration at Linden Gallery: Susan Ploughe demonstrates and talks about her painting process. 2 pm.

Sunday, August 2

Annual Fish Boil Fundraiser at Saint Peter & Paul Church: All you can eat. All plates include onion, potatoes, rye bread, coleslaw, and various homemade dessert bars. 11 am – 2 pm.

Historical Program at Heritage Village at Big Creek: George Evenson will share cherry trivia and the history of Door County’s first orchard. Home baked cherry treats will be available for sale. 2 pm.

Lynn Gudmundsen & David Hatch at Sister Bay Bowl: Acoustic guitar, violin & vocals. 6 pm.
