Enjoy the last weekend of winter with a variety of activities happening in Door County this coming weekend, and as always, be sure to check out our Calendar of Events for more listings! Here are our top picks for the weekend ahead:
Friday
Family Camping Fun Night at the YMCA: It’s never too early to brush up on your camping skills for the coming spring and summer! Camp indoors and enjoy a scavenger hunt along with other games and nature crafts. Sing-a-long around the “campfire” and enjoy s’mores. 6 – 8pm.
Saturday
Beginner Beekeeping Class at Peninsular Agricultural Research Station: Max Martin, master bee keeper, will be sharing the ins and outs of getting started in bee keeping. 8am – noon.
St. Patrick’s Day Parade: The annual “greening” of O’Sturgeon Bay. Rumor has it that if you’re in the parade or just watching, the luck of the Irish will be with you the rest of the year. 11am.
Pi Day Hike at The Ridges: A celebration of the essential mathematical constant. Don’t worry though, there won’t be any tests. This will be a light-hearted celebration of math with fun facts, a hike and you guessed it…pie. 6:30pm.
Sunday
Sheepshead at Door County Brewing Company: Free to play. Instructions and refreshers. 1pm.
Community Health Information Program: “Somatics” presented by Theresa Evans, RN, E-RYT500 Certified Clinical Somatic Practitioner owner of Stone Path Yoga & Somatics Studio. Free. 4pm.
