Friday, April 17

“The Golden Age of Comedy 2” at The Depot PAC: Classic comedy skits from the TV series of the 50s, 60s, and 70s. 7:30pm.

Saturday, April 18

Deathfolk at Door County Brewing Co.:  Jess Holland and Nick Hoover playing old-timey, folk music peppered with tight harmonies. No cover, great beer. 6 pm.

Bar Olympics at Mojo Rosa’s:  Trike race, hula hoop, bean bag toss, darts, pool and more fun in teams of two. $15 per person goes to Northern Door Children’s Center. $20/person entry fee. 

Hike at Peninsula State Park: Join the park naturalist on a woods walk on the Connector to Lone Pine Trails to see if bulblet and maidenhair ferns are emerging at the black ash swamp and watch for early hepatica flowers. 2 miles of rolling trails. 1pm.

Opening Reception at Meadows Art Gallery: Featuring the “Masks: Written Art” exhibit, which highlights different forms of poetry contributed by Door County poets based on work by Door County visual artists. 2 – 4pm.

Sunday, April 19

Sevastopol Historical Society Program at Institute Saloon: “Frank Schartner Family History.” Learn about one of Door County’s most recognizable names at one of its great local taverns. 1pm.

Purse-Scarf-Jewelry Swap Meet at von Stiehl Winery: Shop without money while you enjoy wine and light appetizers. Bring items you no longer use, and go home with something new (to you) and different. 1 – 3pm.
