When Art Inspires Art

This past winter, a group of Door County poets including Nancy Rafal, Sharon Auberle, Francha Barnard, and Estella Lauter crowded around a glass bust by Deanna Clayton entitled “Under the Veil of Mourning.” Pen and paper in hand, the poets wrote. Each wrote a poem drawing on their own reflections of the piece of art, the stories the piece provoked in their varied imaginations.
