Eight restaurants across the state are featured in an upcoming episode of the nation’s longest-running tourism TV Show, Discover Wisconsin, including the White Gull Inn in Fish Creek. “America’s Dairyland – A Dairy Good Breakfast” airs locally on May 2 at 6:30 pm on WFRV TV 5.

“It’s long been said that breakfast is the most important meal of the day,” said Liz Fitzsimmons, director of local market communications for the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board. “Since Wisconsin is America’s Dairyland, many local eateries are featuring some amazing breakfasts where dairy is plentiful and the food is delicious.”

The episode features hosts Mariah Haberman and Jake Zimmermann trekking the state in search of a few breakfasts featuring Wisconsin cheese and other dairy products. Haberman travels to the White Gull Inn in the episode to try its Door Country Cherry Stuffed French Toast – the winner of Good Morning America’s Best Breakfast Challenge in 2010.

“Filming this episode opened my eyes to the plethora of restaurants across our state that serve up delightful dairy breakfasts,” said Haberman. “Whether it’s a yogurt smoothie or cream cheese stuffed French toast, starting the day off with a little dairy goodness is always a great idea!”
