Whitefish Dunes Photo Contest

To encourage children and families to enjoy the outdoors, the Whitefish Dunes State Park is hosting a photo contest. The contest calls for participants to capture the natural beauty, unique features, and special activities at the park.

Photographers over the age of 15 may submit photos in the following five categories: Plants & Wildlife, General Scenery, Shoreline View, Interior View, Park Users, and Black & White. Those younger than 15 years of age can enter in the Junior Division. Ribbons will be awarded and the grand champion will be awarded a prize.

All photos submitted will be reviewed for a special postcard category. Selected photographs from the contest will be used to create new postcard images for the Friends Bookstore. The winning photographers will receive recognition on the printed postcard and a framed postcard of their image.

Submissions may be made from July 5 – July 29. Winning photos will be exhibited in the Nature Center August 21 through September 5. For complete rules pick up a photo contest form at the park office or call 920.823.2400.
