Whitefish Dunes Sand Sculpture Winners

Rain may have deterred some folks from entering this year’s Whitefish Dunes Sand Sculpture Contest, but 76 determined individuals braved wet conditions to produce wonderful displays of sandy talent. There were 34 entries, ranging from the traditional castle to a gigantic Buddha.

Organizers would like to thank the prize donors: Dairy Queen, Fish Creek Kite Co., Sonny’s Pizzeria, PC Junction, Subway, Wilson’s Restaurant & Ice Cream Parlor, and Door County Ice Cream Factory. The biggest thanks go to the Friends of Whitefish Dunes for their funding of this great event!
