Whitefish Dunes Work Day Coming Up

The Friends of Whitefish Dunes State Park have organized a work day on Saturday, May 8 to get the park ready for the busy summer season. Everyone is welcome join the Friends, DNR staff, and community members for some hands-on work to protect, preserve, and prepare the park for a busy season.

Crews of all levels of ability, strengths and ages are needed to work on projects, such as blue bird house preparation, trail work, litter pickup, grid system installation, program equipment construction and some inside activities. Children under the ages of 18 are welcome but must work with a parent/adult.

Advanced registration is free, but required. All participants should come dressed to get dirty and will receive a Work * Play * Earth Day water bottle. The morning session begins at 9 am, and lunch and snack will be provided. Lunch is at noon, and the afternoon session begins at 1 pm.
