Who’s Got Spirit?

Miss Door County’s Outstanding Teen Sophia Pollman competed at the Miss Wisconsin Pageant, June 18 – 22, in Oshkosh. Nineteen young women voted for one another for the Spirit Award, an award presented to a young woman who exemplifies and embodies the core values of the Miss America Organization: confidence, compassion, joy and a zest for life. The 2014 Spirit Award went to Pollman, daughter of Rob and Nikki Pollman of Egg Harbor. She will be a sophomore at Sevastopol High School this fall.

All 19 contestants competed in a personal interview, life style and fitness, and evening gown. To participate in the State level the girls must first win a local pageant. The girls need to be accomplished in academics, talent and have a platform for community service/awareness.
