‘Wild Words’ Storytelling Event

All are invited to tell a story during the storytelling event Wild Words: Celebrate the Lands and Waters of Door County on April 22, 7 pm. Using a format called Pecha Kucha, stories are presented using 20 pictures at 20 seconds per picture, for a story that’s six minutes and 40 seconds long.

The Door County Land Trust and Write On, Door County are partnering to offer a series of free creative labs to help storytellers prepare to use the Pecha Kucha format. Advance registration is suggested because space is limited.

“We believe everyone has a story to tell,” said Jerod Santek, executive director of Write On, Door County. “Wild Words is the perfect opportunity for writers to give their stories life through pictures and the spoken word.”

This event, held at Crossroads at Big Creek, is part of the Celebrate Water initiative. To learn more and register as a storyteller, visit DoorCountyLandTrust.org/WildWords or call 920.746.1359.
