Winners of the 13th annual juried Sturgeon Bay Fine Art Fair have been announced by the Sturgeon Bay Visitor Center, the event sponsor. The two-day fair was held May 28 and 29 at Sturgeon Bay’s Sunset Park.
In the two-dimensional category, painter Lenny Nagler was the first place award winner; second place was awarded to photographer Tom Lazar. In the three-dimensional category, the first place winner was ceramic artist Nancy Briggs; second place was awarded to jeweler Joyce Slate. Woodworker Robert Kloes was awarded the Best of Show Award and painter Jim Finnerty was awarded the People’s Choice Award. A new award, the Art Fair Purchase Award, sponsored by Ministry Door County Medical Center, was awarded to paper artist Wilfred Fang.
Ten artists received Honorable Mentions including Amanda Carriveau, Mary Hager, Layl McDill, Donna Moore, Carole Osburn, Stan Peipenburg, Linda Sheard, Michael Thee, Todd Voss and Lou Williams.
