Join the Habitat Healers on Sept. 16, 9 am, to help with land-restoration efforts. All ages are welcome. Wear clothing and footwear that can get dirty and wet, and take a water bottle. Meet at the workshop.
During the Door County Beekeepers meeting, Sept. 19, 6:30 pm, the program “Wintering Bees and Treating for Mites” discusses preparing hives for winter, including treating for mites, developing fat bees, fall feeding and cold weather hive protection. Free and open to the public. Meet in the Collins Learning Center.
Pollinator Pals Planting Day, Sept. 21, 8:30 am, invites volunteers to join in planting hundreds of eco-regional native plants in front of the Collins Learning Center at Crossroads at Big Creek. Equipment will be provided.
