Friday, February 3
Door County Brewing Company reopens for the winter with an evening of jazz by the Lesser Lakes Trio. 7 pm.
Join the Women’s Fund of Door County for one of their most popular events of the year, “Tales of Our Lives – A Story Slam: Empowerment Through Performance.” Join eight storytellers as they share hilarious and heartwarming personal stories, with musical interludes by local musicians Dorothy Scott and Jess Holland. 7 pm.
Saturday, February 4
The fourth annual Door County Pond Hockey tournament welcomes more than 30 teams to the ice on Kangaroo Lake. Spectators are encouraged to grab a beer and food, and enjoy the fast play. 8 am – 4 pm.
Before heading out in the cold for one of this weekend’s great events, warm up with some piping hot waffles and all the fixins’ with the staff and volunteers of The Ridges. 9 – 11 am.
It’s the 30th anniversary of Door County’s wackiest winter festival! Try your hand at the Stumpf Fiddle Contest, Bike Toss or Ice Bowling during this fun, family-friendly festival. Warm up with some hot chili and drinks, and close out your festival experience with fireworks over the harbor.
Spend your Saturday in the comfort of wine and farm market food during Orchard Country Wintery’s annual winter festival. Paint your own wine glass, enjoy a horse-drawn sleigh ride and take part in the annual cherry pit spit competition. 10 am – 5 pm.
Enjoy the nighttime beauty of Peninsula State Park by candlelight during this popular winter event. This one-mile loop finishes off with a bonfire and refreshments in the warming shelter. 5:30 – 8 pm.
Sunday, February 5
Take part in Fish Creek Winter Festival’s funny finale during this scenic half-mile fun run/walk through downtown. Satisfy your post-race hunger with a bowl of fresh Fruit Loops. 10:30 am.
