Winter Festival Crowns King and Queen

Bob and Bonnie Spielman were crowned the “Winter Festival King and Queen” on Feb. 4, in a surprise ceremony at the Festival’s 30th annual celebration. Owners of Hat Head and the “driving force” behind the festival, the duo’s dedication to the event has transformed it into the iconic Wisconsin-winter celebration it is today.

King and Queen Spielman have an interesting history with Winter Festival. Having met at the event in 1994, one could say it has become a special part of the couple’s story.

“We really do love this festival, and Bob works so, so hard for it…he deserves every bit of recognition,” said Bonnie. “He voluntarily does this festival year after year because of how happy it makes everyone else. It was so nice to see him get such a big pat on the back from his community.”
