Winter Park Open for Snow Sports

Winter Park in Kewaunee County has made enough snow to open the Prevea Health snow-tubing hill during special winter-break hours, ahead of opening the skiing and snowboarding runs. The tubing hill will be open Dec. 30, 10 am – 4 pm, and Jan. 2, 11 am – 5 pm.

The regular season for snow tubing, skiing and snowboarding will begin Jan. 8, as the weather permits. Snow-tubing hours will be Saturdays, 10 am – 6 pm, and Sundays, 11 am – 5 pm. Skiing and snowboarding hours will be Saturdays, 10 am – 4 pm, and Sundays, 11 am – 4 pm.

The cost for snow tubing is $10 per person for two hours, including a provided snow tube for visitors who are 42 inches or taller and can ride up the Magic Carpet on their own. The cost for skiing and snowboarding is $17 for the day for ages 7 and older, and $10 for the day for ages 6 and younger. Skiing and snowboarding equipment is available for an extra fee.

Special night events are set for Feb. 5 and 12, 4:30-8 pm, when lift tickets will be $10 for anyone who hasn’t purchased a day pass on those days.

Once the Dana Farm ice rink opens, skaters may visit daily, 9 am – 8 pm, as long as the temperature is below 32 degrees. Learn more at kewauneeco.org.
