Wisconsin Cheese Masters Store in Egg Harbor Hosts Katie Hedrich

On July 27 at 2 pm, Katie Hedrich from LaClaire Farms will be sampling her “2011 Best in Show” winner, Evalon Cheese, at the Wisconsin Cheese Masters store in Egg Harbor. The tasting event is free.

Hedrich started making cheese in 2009 using raw goat’s milk from the farm where she grew up in Chilton. In March, at her first competition, Evalon won the “Best in Show” award at the United States Championship Cheese Contest. The firm, aged 60 days, raw goat’s milk cheese bested over 2,000 entries from across the country for the honor.

Wisconsin Cheese Masters is located just south of Egg Harbor on Highway 42 in the Harbor Ridge Winery complex. All tasting events at Wisconsin Cheese Masters are free.
