Wisconsin Lions Camp to Hold Annual Hustle S’more Run/Walk Aug. 19

The Wisconsin Lions Camp, owned and operated by the Wisconsin Lions Foundation Inc., is holding its ninth annual Hustle S’more Run/Walk Aug. 18 to benefit its camp program. The 11-week summer camping program is provided free of charge to Wisconsin youth and adults. Camping sessions are scheduled for youth and adults who are blind or visually impaired and deaf or hard of hearing, as well as for youth who socially or educationally function as having an intellectual disability or educational autism and for youth with diabetes.

The 5K run/walk and 10K run will be held on the trails of the Wisconsin Lions Camp. The 15-mile bike ride starts and ends at the Camp. These events will be chip-timed. The new walk this year is the one-mile Doughnut Dash, which will not be timed. Get your doughnut, coffee or juice and enjoy a one-mile stroll around the main camp. All proceeds raised at this event will help us continue to provide camp free of charge. Registration begins at 8 am and the event begins with staggered starts between 9 and 10 am. The top three finishers in each individual age group per event and overall finishers will receive awards. Prizes for pledges collected will also be awarded.

Registration forms, sponsorship brochure, course map, and other event information can be found at wisconsinlionscamp.com under the tab “Ways to Help.”
