Wisconsin Writing Duo Sets Debut Mystery Novel in Door County

Peggy Williams and Mary Joy Johnson’s first mystery, On the Road to Death’s Door, is being published under the pen name M J Williams in both electronic and print formats by

Set in Door County, the story revolves around a retired policewoman and her husband, a retired history professor, who set out for a cross-country trip in a secondhand RV purchased with a small inheritance. However, they get no farther than Fish Creek when the bodies begin to fall – the first one literally from the top of their RV!

“We holed up for full a week at a small motel in Fish Creek just brainstorming the plot,” said Williams. “We drove up and down the peninsula photographing and taking notes on likely locations to plant our bodies.”

The writing duo had so much fun researching and writing their story that they have decided to turn it into a series. They are currently writing On the Road to Where the Bells Toll, which takes place in Boston.

On the Road to Death’s Door by M J Williams is available from in both Kindle and paperback formats. The ebook will be available through Barnes & Noble for download to the Nook later this spring.
