Women’s Fund Presents Grant to Door County Partnership for Children and Families

The Door County Partnership for Children and Families, a program of United Way of Door County, has received a $5,250 grant from the Women’s Fund of Door County to support the Door County Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library program, which launched in December 2018.

Since then, more than 650 Door County children have registered for this free program, which provides free books in the mail each month to children who are between birth and their fifth birthday. Although the program is free to families, its cost to the Door County Partnership for Children and Families is $25 per child per year, or $125 to support a child for the entire five years. The Women’s Fund of Door County grant will be used to cover the costs for more than 200 children to be a part of the program for the next year.
