Woodwalk Concert Series Begins with Small Potatoes

Small Potatoes, featuring Chicago-based folk duo Jacquie Manning and Rich Prezioso, will open this year’s Jeanne Kuhns’ Woodwalk Concert Series on June 17 at 7 pm.

The duo will perform music ranging from country, blues, and swing to Irish, featuring two great voices, fine guitar playing, and a touch of tin whistle, flute, mandolin, bodhran, and other percussion instruments. Together they present a rare blend of vocal and instrumental abilities, award-winning songwriting, and arranging talents.

June 24 at 7 pm, Gloria Attoun will perform as a part of the series. Attoun will perform solo, singing original songs about the magical and mundane moments of life and will accompany herself on guitar and banjo. Her concert is not so much a performance but an experience that blurs the boundaries of audience and performer and conjures up an evening of shared and memorable experiences.
