Woodwalk Hosts Mean Mary

Woodwalk starts their 2018 concert series with Mean Mary, an American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, novelist, producer and YouTube personality. She has been described as having “the unique ability to mix together a variety of musical styles, which can appeal to a wide audience.”

After recording her first original tune, “Mean Mary from Alabam,” at age six, the song went public and it was then she was given the name Mean Mary by the press. Mean Mary plays 11 instruments including banjo, fiddle and guitar. Her musical storytelling combines the styles of bluegrass, gypsy jazz, folk and country.

Her latest album Blazing is her fifth solo release. Mean Mary tours extensively in the U.S. and has performed in Canada, UK, Ireland, and Europe. She has guested on many BBC radio shows.

The Woodwalk concert season opener starts at 7 pm, June 22. Small Forest opens the show. Call to reserve an outside table if you’d like to bring a picnic dinner when doors open at 5:30 pm.
