Work Day at Pen Park

Walk the talk on April 29 by lending a hand at Peninsula State Park. Choose your “good earth action” by either helping pull garlic mustard below Sven’s Bluff from 10 to 11 am, or by helping at the Nature Center from noon to 3 pm.

There will be jobs for all ages and abilities: raking, wood chipping, dusting, waxing trail signs, sorting craft supplies, sweeping, and litter pick-up. Make your own pudgy pie pizza over a campfire for helping, with food fixings supplied by Friends of Peninsula State Park. This program is free and open to the public.

Volunteer vehicle sticker courtesy passes provided for those who help; these passes are only valid at the locations listed above while volunteering. Stop at park headquarters if your family needs a volunteer courtesy pass to participate. Nature Center clean up takes place rain or shine. The garlic mustard pull at Sven’s Bluff will be cancelled if it is raining, due to slippery conditions. For complete information, call 920.854.5976 or email [email protected].
