Workshop with Hart

Author Erin Hart will appear in two special events in Sturgeon Bay on Aug. 25. The events are co-sponsored by The Friends of Door County Libraries, the Peninsula Bookman and Write On, Door County.

Hart will offer a workshop titled “Memoir Writing: Finding Your Story” on Aug. 25 from 3:30 – 5 pm. The workshop will show participants how to zero in on varied life experiences and turn them into a compelling story. The workshop will take place at Glas Coffeehouse, 67 E. Maple St, Sturgeon Bay. Tuition for the workshop is $30.

At 7 pm, Hart will read from her most recent novel, The Book of Killowen. The reading will take place at the Miller Art Museum, 107 S 4th Ave, Sturgeon Bay. The reading is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.

Erin Hart is the author of a series of archaeological crime novels set in the mysterious Irish boglands: Haunted Ground, Lake of Sorrows, False Mermaid, and The Book of Killowen. Her books have been short-listed for the Anthony and Agatha Awards, Minnesota Book Awards, and won the 2004 Friends of American Writers Award.
