Workshops at the Ridges Sanctuary

The Ridges Sanctuary is hosting an Owl Nesting Box Workshop on Feb. 19 from 2 – 4 pm. Owls make excellent neighbors, helping to control populations of rats, mice and harmful insects. Fees for the workshop are $25 per adult for Ridges members, $30 per adult for the general public and $10 for children under 18. Fees include materials for one next box. Additional kits are available for $20.

The Ridges is also hosting a Make Your Own Bird Feeder Workshop on Feb. 21 from 1 – 3 pm. When done, add seeds and begin enjoying local feathered friends. Backyard visitors will be especially happy to have the free buffet during these cold winter months. Adult fees are $10 for Ridges members, $13 for the general public and $5 for children under 18. Fees include materials for one feeder.
