“Woven Aspects” at The Gallery at Domicile in Door County

This season’s second exhibit for Sister Bay’s The Gallery at Domicile will offer multiple interpretations of its theme: “Woven Aspects.”

Over the winter, Domicile’s diverse artists were challenged to create one-of-a-kind works that illustrate the theme. In response, many Wisconsin weavers, oil painters, sculptors, metal workers, watercolorists, woodworkers, jewelry designers, and more created unique works.

This themed challenge is a first for the three-year-old gallery, nestled alongside the more familiar Domicile, now in its 24th year in uptown Sister Bay.

Artists displaying their original, one-of-a-kind “Woven Aspect” will include Jane Kayser, Sue Vineyard, Fritz Seybold, Carolyn Kenney-Carter, Ann Preston and David Haessig. Other Wisconsin artists currently on display include Judy Laubmeier, Susan Kennelly, Judith Rheberg, Pat Bishop, Judy Callen and Ron Veldhuizen.

The exhibit will hang from July 20 through Labor Day weekend. The gallery is open 10 am – 5 pm, Wednesday – Saturday, and 111 am – 4 pm on Sunday.

Domicile and the Gallery at Domicile are located at 10592 Highway 57 at Canterbury Lane, just east of the Highway 42/57 intersection. For more information call 920.854.9005.
