WPS Credit for AC Program

Air conditioning spikes electricity use on hot summer days, driving up electricity rates, but WPS is offering the HELP Energy Conservation Program to reduce AC use.

With HELP, WPS turns off or cycles your central air during high demand period. WPS offers an $8 per month credit from June through September to those who participate in the program.

A small remote-control switch is connected to your central air unit, and when electrical demand approaches peak levels, power is turned off to the unit.
