Write On, Door County Family Events

Write On, Door County is presenting two free, family-friendly events during which children and adults will learn about the process of writing books, may ask questions and can have their books signed.

On May 13, 6-8 pm, Miranda and Baptiste Paul will present a program – outdoors, in part, weather permitting – with farmer and environmentalist Tantoh Nforba. The Pauls are the co-authors of the picture book I Am Farmer: Growing an Environmental Movement in Cameroon, the real story of Nforba, who has championed clean water and organic farming in his native country.

Mary Losure will present “Magick and Alchemy” on June 11, 1-2 pm, at the Door County Library in Sturgeon Bay. The author of Isaac the Alchemist: Secrets of Isaac Newton Reveal’d will introduce young people to apothecaries and alchemy – what many believed to be “magick” in Newton’s day.
