Write On, Door County Presents Poetry Collaboration

In collaboration with the Miller Art Museum’s exhibit “People and Places and Things, Oh My! Favorite Selections from the Miller Art Museum’s Permanent Collection,” Write On, Door County presents Writings on the Wall: A Creative Writing Opportunity for Poets and Writers of All Ages.

Taking inspiration from the works of the permanent collection, participants will craft short poems and prose pieces based on their favorite piece of art. Write On representatives will be on hand to provide assistance if needed. Writings will be chosen by museum staff to create labels, which will be placed next to the selected artwork. Writings and art will be on display through April 13.

The morning will begin with a half-hour coffee social, followed by an hour-and-a-half of free writing time. Unable to attend on the 12th? Please visit the museum any time during the exhibit and create your own writing in response to your favorite piece. Give your work to a museum staff member for possible inclusion in the exhibit. The exhibit runs March 7 through April 13
