Write On Institutes New COVID-19 Policy

In light of the surge of COVID-19 cases around the country, Write On, Door County (writeondoorcounty.org) has instituted a new COVID-19 policy to help protect presenters and attendees.

Participants in all in-person programs will be required to show proof of vaccination prior to the start of the event. Those who are unable to be vaccinated must present proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken within 48 hours of the event. Images of vaccination cards and test results may be emailed in advance or presented at the door.

This policy applies to the Washington Island Literary Festival, Sept. 16-18; the Mystery Writing Conference, Oct. 22-24; and all in-person, indoor classes, readings and events. It does not apply to open-air events such as the Fall Gala with Nickolas Butler on Sept. 23 or the Door County Writers’ Book Fair on Oct. 2. Face coverings are strongly encouraged at all indoor events.
