Write On, Novel Bay Host Launch for Davis’ Book

To celebrate the April release of Thomas Davis’ new book, The Prophecy of the Wolf, Write On, Door County and Novel Bay Booksellers are hosting a reading and signing May 20, 1 pm. 

Set in the mid-1600s on the Door peninsula and Washington Island, The Prophecy of the Wolf is an adventure novel about a young Neshnabek man who doubts his own abilities. It involves some of the earliest known historical figures on the Great Lakes. 

Davis has also written In the Unsettled Homeland of Dreams – the winner of the 2019 Edna Ferber Fiction Award – as well as four other novels, three collections of poetry, two novels-in-verse and a book of nonfiction about the history of the sustainable forest and its development on the Menominee Indian Reservation. In April, Davis and his wife, Ethel Mortenson Davis, became the poets laureate of Door County.
