The Norbert Blei Award in Poetry and the WILF Award in Flash Prose, administered by Write On, Door County, are now accepting entries.
Poetry and works of fiction or nonfiction of 750 words or less will be accepted through July 22. The theme for this year’s entries is generational: how we build, grow, and change. Judging this year’s awards is writer Albert DeGenova.
Both awards include a cash prize of $100 and complimentary registration to the Washington Island Literary Festival [WILF], where winners will present their work. Writers may submit up to three poems or one short prose piece per entry and may submit as many entries as they would like. There is a $15 fee per entry. Your name should not appear on the piece and a biographical statement must accompany your entry. The contest is open to beginning and established writers who are at least 18 years of age and residents of Wisconsin. Different works must be submitted separately.
