Yarns, Rovings and Fleeces

Come to northeast Wisconsin’s oldest fiber event and sale, the 2014 Door County Shepherds’ Market. The market takes place May 17 & 18, 10 am – 4 pm, and is held to promote products from locally raised sheep, goats, alpacas and llamas, and to educate the public about the animals, the fibers they produce and the traditional handcrafts and fiber arts made from these locally grown fibers.

This year marks the 20th Annual Fiber and Art-To-Wear Sale, featuring fleeces, yarns, rovings, unique knit, woven and felted products and wearable art, spinning and weaving equipment, fair trade baskets, and other related fiber accessories from local artists.

Also, market-goers can visit with the live alpacas and join a raffle for a chance to win a basket of handspun yarns.

The Shepherds’ Market is held at Woodwalk Gallery, located at 6746 County Road G in Egg Harbor. For more information visit dcshepherdsmarket.com.
