YMCA Capital Campaign Update

Throughout the winter, the Door County YMCA has continued to raise funds for its Heart of the Community capital campaign and reports that a little more than $6.3 million has been raised.

Construction was anticipated to start in early summer, but because of costs, material availability and workforce shortages, the YMCA has extended its timeline and will continue to secure gifts and work with its architects and construction team to reduce the project costs and devise a schedule to phase the construction.

The YMCA seeks to raise an additional $1.85 million to complete important features of the project’s first phase.
