The Door County YMCA is holding a community breakfast Feb. 14, 8:30 am at Stone Harbor Resort in Sturgeon Bay. The keynote speaker is Dr. Tasha Nicole Johnson, senior director, Character Development Learning Institute, YMCA of USA. Join Dr. Johnson and members of the YMCA community to learn about the Y’s latest youth development initiative, the Character Development Learning Institute (CDLI). The CDLI is a cooperative effort to rapidly discover, test and disseminate best adult practices to positively influence the character development of millions of youth. Dr. Johnson created this program for the YMCA and now travels across the country observing its implementation at various YMCAs. Dr. Johnson has spent time in Door County with their aquatics program and will share the impact this important program is having on youth in our community. Register in person or call 920.743.4949.
