The Door County YMCA is offering a free opportunity for local youth to learn crucial skills that will help them be safe in and around our local waters at a Community Water Safety Program. Families are invited to the Sturgeon Bay Program Center on Sunday, Oct. 23rd to participate.
From 1-2:30pm, attendees will have the opportunity to visit a variety of stations in the aquatics center to learn the basics of the following skills: proper life jacket use, CPR/ First-Aid, boating safety, rescue techniques, diving and jumping safely, survival tactics and more. The safety program will be followed by open swim and waterslide time from 2:30-3:30pm.
