Award-winning author Jim Mihaley, who grew up in Sturgeon Bay, will teach a class this fall at Björklunden called “How To Write A Children’s Book.” If you’ve ever aspired to write for children then here’s a chance to put that dream into motion.

Published by Macmillan, Mihaley’s novel for children You Can’t Have My Planet But Take My Brother, Please was named a Best Book of 2013 by the Bank Street College of Education in New York City.

Mihaley uses humor in his writing and promises to make the seminar a lot of fun. It’s open to all writers, those who have yet to put a word down on paper and those who are in the middle of writing the next Harry Potter. The seminar will take place Oct. 12 – 17.
