Younglove, Perry and August at Ladderhouse

Upper Midwest Music Presents three rockin’ songwriters at the Ladder House in downtown Sturgeon Bay on May 7. Starting at 9 pm, this all-acoustic evening features Mojo Perry (Appleton), and Eli August (Madison), with local talent Rick Younglove (Fish Creek) headlining.

Singer, songwriter, artist and multi-instrumentalist Rick Younglove’s music has been called experimental-folk-rock. His songs stem from experience and extensive pondering; his finger-picking style is unique in its complex simplicity, while his lyrics and vocals surprise his audience at every turn.

There is a fine line where blues, rock, and pure originality meet and on that fine line audiences will find Mojo Perry. Infused by his raw energy and unmistakable stage presence, Mojo Perry delivers a high-energy show.

Madison artist, Eli August creates music with zeal and energy, focusing on mood, tonality and lyricism. His songwriting mines memories of past regrets and failures to create melancholy aural set pieces that are sincere, passionate and some times dark, but never completely devoid of redemption.

Join these three outstanding musicians in an all-acoustic show Friday, May 7, upstairs at The Ladder House, 38 Third Ave., Sturgeon Bay. $5 at the door, 21 and up. For more information follow Upper Midwest Music on Facebook or call 920.743.3315.
