Youth Orchestra Program Seeks Talented Musicians

The Green Bay Symphony Youth Orchestra Program (GBSYO), now entering its 41st season, encourages young area musicians to audition for placement in our 2008/09 ensembles. Auditions will take place in the Studio Arts Building on the UW-GB Campus in front of a panel of music professionals. Audition dates this spring are May 9, May 10, May 17 and May 18. Musicians who audition could be placed in one of the three ensembles that collectively make up the Green Bay Symphony Youth Orchestras.

Interested musicians should pre-register for an audition time slot by calling Audrey Nowak at the Green Bay Symphony Office at 920.435.3465 or emailing [email protected].

GBSYO members study and perform challenging and varied orchestral literature, regularly work with professional musicians of the Green Bay Symphony Orchestra, and participate in many unique educational and performance opportunities. Area college string players who have an interest in continuing their orchestral playing while attending school are invited to audition for the Youth Symphony.
