ypAwards Presented on April 24

NexGen Door County will celebrate the community’s young professionals at the third annual ypAwards on April 24, 6-9 pm, at Horseshoe Bay Golf Club in Egg Harbor. All are invited to recognize the Rising Star and Shining Star nominees and mingle with young professionals and other community leaders.

The Rising Star award honors an individual, 18 to 30 years old, who adds energy, aptitude and enthusiasm to his or her workplace, serves the community and shows potential to contribute to Door County’s future. This year’s nominees are Lauren Brey of Brey Cycle Farm and Edge Dairy Farmer Cooperative; Journey Sikorsky of Quantum PC Services; and Adam Peronto, Sarah Traege and Devin Vandertie, all of Door County Medical Center.

The Shining Star award honors an individual 31 or older who has demonstrated sustained community involvement and leadership, achieved professional success and mentors the next generation of Door County residents. This year’s nominees are Tara DuBois of Stangel Accounting and Tax Office; Brianna Holm of Vintique Resale; Lane Methner of the Ephraim Business Council; Brandon Schopf of Door County Emergency Services and CrossFit Armati; and Amy Sullivan of Pinkert Law Firm.

Tickets – $20 in advance at doorcountybusiness.com and $25 at the door – include hors d’oeuvres and one drink. The suggested dress is cocktail attire.
