Zion United Methodist Church Hosting a Lenten Study Series About Les Misérables

Zion United Methodist Church, 8781 Cty F in Fish Creek, will host a Lenten study series called The Grace of Les Misérables starting Feb. 20. Matt Rawle will examine grace, justice, poverty, revolution, love and hope through the lens of Christian faith. Pastor Michael will also build on the themes each Sunday, and each participant will receive a study book ($15 per book). All sessions will be held on Thursdays, 9:30-11:30 am.

The Feb. 20 session will be a screening of Les Misérables. The Feb. 27 topic is “Grace Well Received: The Story of Jean Valjean”; the March 5 topic is “When Grace and Justice Collide: The Story of Javert”; the March 12 topic is “The Poor Are Always with You: The Story of Fantine”; the March 19 topic is “The Gift of Love: the Story of Marius and Cosette”; the March 26 topic is “Building the Barricade: The Story of Les Amis”; and the April 2 topic is “The Blessed Garden: A Hopeful Vision.”
